• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). (Must provide transcripts at time of interview)
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, written and verbal communication.
• Must possess an active Basic Life Support certification (BLS). (Must provide card at time of interview).
PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE
Cook County Health & Hospitals System
Under the supervision of the District Nursing Supervisor, provides public health nursing services necessary to implement Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) programs in an assigned region including but not limited to APORS/HRIF (Adverse Pregnancy Outcome Reporting System/High Risk Infant Follow-up), Lead, Newborn Hearing Screening, Genetics, Newborn Screening Program, Communicable Disease, and Contractual Day Care Nursing Consultation. The primary responsibility of the PHN I is the case management of infants identified as high risk through the APORS/HRIF program.
